Happy 62nd anniversary to the Marines, sailors and civilian-Marines of Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Ga.

Since its activation March 1, 1952, as the Marine Corps Depot of Supplies, MCLB Albany has continued its renowned legacy of outstanding support to the warfighter and the Marine Corps’ global mission.

2013 was a tremendous year for MCLB Albany, filled with many noteworthy accomplishments and accolades, including the Secretary of the Navy Energy Award, designation by the National Weather Service as a “storm-ready installation,” and the completion of an $800,000 renovation project, which will become a Veterans Affairs Clinic aboard the base.

Additionally June 27, 2013 marked the one-year anniversary in which none of the command’s nearly 600 civilian-Marines lost a workday due to injury or illness - a truly remarkable achievement.

Your well-earned reputation for excellence continues and you should be extremely proud of all you have accomplished.

Thank you for all the support and best wishes for future success.

Semper Fi!
