GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. A MARINE CORPS UNIVERSITY PANEL CONVENED DURING NOVEMBER 2012 AND SELECTED 26 STUDENTS TO ATTEND SAW DURING AY 2013-2014. THE LIST WAS THEN VETTED AND APPROVED BY MRA. SAW RECEIVED 121 COMPLETED APPLICATIONS FROM A COMBINATION OF RESIDENT AND NON-RESIDENT INTERMEDIATE LEVEL SCHOOLS (ILS). STUDENTS APPLIED FROM THE MARINE CORPS COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE (CSC), US AIR FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE (ACSC), US ARMY COMMAND AND GENERAL STAFF COLLEGE (CGSC), AND SERVICE DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS (DEP). THE QUALITY OF THIS YEAR'S APPLICANTS REFLECTS THE SUPERB CALIBER OF THE ILS PROGRAMS THAT PREPARE OFFICERS FOE THE CHALLENGES OF ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE LEVEL EDUCATION.
2. ALTERNATES. SEVERAL APPLICANTS WERE DESIGNATED AS ALTERNATES (SISTER SERVICE AND INTERNATIONAL ALTERNATES ARE NOT LISTED). IN THE EVENT A PRIMARY SELECTION BECOMES UNAVAILABLE, OFFICERS SELECTED AS ALTERNATES WILL BE CONTACTED INDIVIDUALLY.
