April 3, 2014 --

Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany conducted a full-scale destructive weather exercise April 1-2.

The purpose of this event was to exercise the ability of base and tenant personnel, first responders and others in dealing with a tornado strike and possibly other events. During the two-day exercise, the mass notification and AtHoc warning systems sounded throughout the base providing information regarding weather conditions as well as passing time-sensitive information related to the exercise.

An article about the exercise and more photos will be published in the April 10 edition of The Emblem.
