GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN is an advisory which implements guidance resulting from changes to the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Combat Fitness Test (CFT) announced in reference (ref) (a).  This is a coordinated Training and Education Command and Marine Corps Recruiting Command message, and provides guidance on Officer Candidate Course 230 (OCC 230) physical standards.
2.  OCC 230 will be the first Officer Candidates School (OCS) class reporting to OCS after Marine Corps Order 6100.13A Change 1 was published.  However, OCC 230 candidates already have been contracted and board-selected utilizing the current standards in ref (b).  As such, OCC 230 officer candidates can be inducted into and graduate from OCS if they meet the minimum by-event standards currently listed in ref (b).
3.  All officer candidate selection boards for candidates reporting to OCS after OCC 230 will select candidates based on the requirements outlined in MARADMIN 539/18.
4.  More information on PFT and CFT standards can be found at https:(slash)(slash)www.fitness.marines.mil.
5.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
6.  Release authorized by Lieutenant General D. H. Berger, Commanding General, Marine Corps Combat and Development Command.//
