GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS) (Blue Angels) may select one Marine Corps F/A-18 demonstration pilot and one Marine C-130 demonstration pilot for the 2020-2022 show seasons.  Interested officers should submit applications per ref a no later than 30 April 2019.  Final selections will be made in July 2019.
2.  Qualifications.  Applicants should be career-oriented, career designated commissioned officers on active duty or active reserve in the grade of first lieutenant through major with the following specific qualifications:
2.a.  F/A-18 demonstration pilot applicants must be carrier qualified tactical jet pilots with 1250 hours of jet flight time by 30 September 2019.
2.b.  Marine C-130 demonstration pilot applicants must have 1200 hours of flight time by 30 September 2019 and hold a transport plane commander rating in the C-130 F/R/T or J model aircraft.
2.c.  Applicants must have completed a minimum of 2 years time on station by 1 September 2019 or within 12 Months of PCS or PCA orders. Additionally, applicants currently assigned to III MEF must meet time on station requirements per MCO 1300.8 prior to 1 September 2019.
2.d.  Selectees will be required to remain on active duty for two years following completion of their assignment with the Blue Angels.
3.  All Marine applicants shall be approved for eligibility by MMOA prior to selection by the NFDS.  Applicants must contact their monitor to determine eligibility prior to beginning the application process.
4.  Command endorsements for pilot applicants should specifically address the flying abilities and aviation leadership qualities of the applicant.  In the event an officer submits an application and is subsequently transferred, endorsements from the gaining command should also be forwarded.  Applications received after the 30 April 2019 deadline will normally not be considered.  Applicants must notify their PMOS monitor of their intention to apply.  Applications should be submitted electronically to LCDR Andre Webb at andre.a.webb@navy.mil.  Physical applications are not required but will also be accepted if submitted to the addresses below:
