RMKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce publication of reference (a) and the training and education plan associated with the subject policy.

3.  Per reference (a), Headquarters Marine Corps will detail a Mobile Training Team  (MTT) to visit major Marine Corps installations during the second quarter of FY17.  The target audience for the education and training is lieutenant colonel and above commanders, their senior enlisted advisors, and command surgeons.  The target audience is directed to review DoD’s “Transgender Service in the U.S. Military an Implementation Handbook” prior to attending the training.  The Handbook is available at:  http:(slash slash)www.defense.gov/News/Special-Reports/0616transgender-policy under “Resources”.  The MTT schedule will be coordinated with the Marine Corps installations via separate correspondence.
