AND MCU-SEPME@USMC.MIL GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Situation.  Historically, professional development for enlisted Marines in the grade of E-8 has been limited to seminars and self-study.  The 32nd Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC), along with the 16th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, directed the development of a Professional Military Education (PME) course targeted to further the study of the art of war for these Marines.  To meet the CMC's intent, Marine Corps University (MCU) has developed a course designed to enhance the critical thinking and adaptability skills necessary to function at the operational and strategic levels of war.  The Senior Enlisted Academy conducts an intense six-week curriculum focused on the following core areas:  Leadership and Professional Ethics, Communication Studies, Warfighting, and Joint Operations.
2. Mission.  The Director, Senior Enlisted Academy, will conduct the Senior Enlisted PME course at Quantico, Virgina.
