3.  The Marine Corps remains unwavering in its commitment to serving in any clime and place, which includes supporting civil authorities here at home during times of crisis.  This hurricane season was one of the worst in United States history, and our Corps answered the call.  Our expeditionary nature allowed us to react quickly and sustain our efforts to help others in their time of need.  Whether rescuing citizens stranded due to high water, transporting food and water to places untenable due to debris or flooding, or transporting and placing 500 Jersey barriers via our aviation assets to prevent the Guajataca Dam from rupturing in Puerto Rico; we reminded the citizens of our great Nation that our Corps is always ready to serve the American people.  Our ability to respond quickly and effectively was a direct result of superb leadership executed at all levels.  Thank you to each Marine, Sailor, and civilian who participated and supported these efforts.  You have again shown why the United States wants a Marine Corps.
4.  Thank you for a job well done.  Semper Fidelis.  Robert B. Neller, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
