Team Scott will open the gates to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 11-12 for the 2010 "Airpower Over the Midwest" air show and open house.

The event allows Air Mobility Command's showcase wing to highlight Air Force capabilities and readiness to the local community.

"We started nine months ago planning this huge event, devoting the last three months almost exclusively to the show," said Lt. Col. Michael Kayser, airshow director.
"This tremendous logistics exercise couldn't have been possible without the hundreds of volunteers and local community support."

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels aerial demonstration team headlines this year's show. Also performing are: Air Combat Command Demonstration Team's A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-16 Viper East and F-4 Phantom, U.S. Army Golden Knights, Mig-17, Tora! Tora! Tora!, a MotoCross demonstration, and B-2 flyover (Saturday only).

Air show patrons will get an up-close view of military aircraft and equipment from the past and present. The array of acts and static displays include civilian, military and vintage aircraft ranging from single-seat aerobatics to long-range bombers.

Airpower Over the Midwest is free and open to the public and attendance for the show is expected to exceed 150,000 total.
