POC/K.G.THOMPSON/CTR/UNIT:HQMC PSL/-/TEL:703-535-1026//  1. THIS MARADMIN ANNOUNCES THE DEFENSE SCIENCE BOARD'S WORKPLACE VIOLENCE PREVENTION IN THE MILITARY SURVEY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION/OPINIONS ON PERCEIVED BARRIERS TO REPORTING POTENTIALLY THREATENING BEHAVIORS. THIS SURVEY SUPPORTS MARINE CORPS EFFORTS TO REDUCE WORKPLACE VIOLENCE. RESULTS WILL BE USED TO REFINE VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROTOCOL,PER REF A.
2. TARGET POPULATION. THE SURVEY IS OPEN TO ALL MARINE CORPS PERSONNEL WHO SERVE, LIVE, OR WORK ABOARD MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS; TO INCLUDE UNIFORMED MEMBERS AND MARINE CIVILIANS.
3. METHODOLOGY. THIS EFFORT USES A WEB-BASED SURVEY INSTRUMENT. PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY BUT HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. RESPONDENTS WILL REMAIN ANONYMOUS AND IP ADDRESSES WILL NOT BE TRACKED. THERE ARE NO KNOWN RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION. TO ACCESS THE SURVEY GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEB ADDRESS: HTTP: (SLASH SLASH)GO.UNL.
EDU/N6AA. THE SURVEY WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES TO COMPLETE.
4. DATA COLLECTION PERIOD. THE SURVEY IS OPEN TO ALL PERSONNEL,  BUT TIME WILL BE LIMITED. THE SURVEY WILL RUN FOR 14 DAYS FROM THE RELEASE DATE OF THIS MARADMIN.
5. THE VALUE OF THIS EFFORT IS DIRECTLY LINKED TO THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF OUR MARINES, EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES AND SHOULD NOT BE DISCOUNTED. SO WHILE VOLUNTARY, THE GREATER THE  PARTICIPATION, THE BETTER THE RESULTS. COMMANDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO FACILITATE PARTICIPATION WITHIN THEIR UNITS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE.
