GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  As directed by the reference, an assumption of command message is hereby promulgated.  Effective 11 July 2019, I have assumed all duties as the 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps.  All effective orders and directives issued by my predecessors remain in effect.
