GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Per the ref, HQMC, PPO, PS Division solicited nominations for the subject award and convened a selection board to determine this year winner.
2.  The Francis D. Gill CBRN Defense Excellence Award winner is Sergeant Benjamin J. Baringer, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
3.  The recipient will be recognized on the first day of the 2019 U.S. Marine Corps CBRN Defense Operational Advisory Group, 23-27 Sep 2019, at Quantico, VA.
4.  Logistics and expenses:  PPO PS will provide a Cross Line of Accounting (LOA) to include accommodations, per diem, and transportation to and from the conference if the recipient is not deployed.  If deployed, the recipient will receive the award upon returning to the Marine duty station.  Travel dates for the award recipient will be 22 Sep 2019 (arrival) and 24 Sep 2019 (departure).
