GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Marine Corps is looking for skilled web developers, programmers, infrastructure engineers, and DevOps engineers to join a fast-paced, 90-day sprint that will demonstrate best practices in modern software development and commercial cloud deployment.  If you’re a DevOps expert or a programmer looking to extend your skillset, please apply!
2.  The finished product will be an easy-to-use, progressive web application that showcases the best approaches to quickly developing and deploying high quality, secure software, including agile methodology, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration and deployment.  The Marine Corps team will work alongside industry experts at the Defense Digital Service (DDS) to rebuild the client application for a single logistics workflow of the Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).  This proof of concept will light the path forward for future iterative development of GCSS-MC and throughout the Corps.
3.  Skills required:
3.a.  Strong technical skills in one of the areas below.
3.b.  Excellent teamwork skills.
3.c.  Self-starter, takes initiative.
3.d.  Ability to get rapidly up to speed in new technology.
4.  At least one of the following technical skillsets:
4.a.  Experience with front or back end web application development.
4.b.  Experience with automated software testing, scanning, and continuous integration.
4.c.  Experience developing infrastructure as code and managing continuous deployments.
4.d.  Experience developing cloud-native applications and orchestrating cloud environments.
5.  Important details:

5.c.  All work will be done TAD to the National Capital Region (NCR), specifically in the Pentagon, with anticipated start date of 6 Jan 2020 and lasting for up to 90 days.
5.d.  All work will be done in conjunction with PMW-230, C4, and DDS.
5.e.  All costs, including TAD, and equipment will be covered by DDS.  Coordinating instructions will be provided by SEPCOR to those who join this effort.
