GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN provides guidance to Marine Corps personnel who hold a CAC expiring on or before 31 May 2020.
2.  BACKGROUND. In light of the ongoing Marine Corps response to the COVID-19 emergency, reference (a), it is critical that personnel maintain a current CAC for access to Department of Defense (DoD) facilities and the Marine Corps Enterprise Network. Additionally, the Washington Headquarters Service has directed military members and government civilian employees assigned to the Pentagon or the Mark Center to immediately renew their cards if they are to expire in the next 60 days, reference (b).
3.  TASKS
3.A CG MCICOM:
3.A.1.  Ensure all Marine Corps Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) sites modify local policy where applicable, to support personnel requiring CAC renewals.  Site Security Managers and Verifying Officials should not turn away CAC holders with cards expiring within 60 days.
3.A.2.  In order to reduce traffic at RAPIDS sites do not issue the CACs for printed information changes (promotions, name changes).
3.B. Commanders, Fleet Marine Force and Supporting Establishment:
3.B.1.  Direct all Marine Corps CAC holders with cards expiring on or before 31 May 2020 to get a new CAC as soon as practical at a RAPIDS site.  The RAPIDS Site Locator can be found at https:(slash slash)www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl/, and contains instructions for documentation required for obtaining a CAC in accordance with reference (c).
3.B.2.  Direct personnel to follow the guidelines of their local RAPIDS office with regard to any restrictions on walk-in appointments and scheduling requirements due to COVID-19.  Scheduling and site specific information can be found on the RAPIDS Appointment Scheduler at https:(slash slash)rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil.
3.B.3 Ensure personnel issued a new CAC are afforded the opportunity to logon to the government furnished workstation used for telework and connected to the MCEN in order to cache the new PKI credentials prior to returning to telework status.  Network access to support telework through the workstation will not be available until this action is completed.
3.B.4.  Reinforce policy to allow transferring civilians to keep their CACs.
3.C.  Active Duty Marines, Civilians, and Contractors:
3.C.1. Renew CACs expiring in the next 60 days and cache your new PKI credentials on your workstation prior to returning to telework status.
4. Release authorized by BGen L. M. Mahlock, Director, Information C4 Division, Deputy Commandant for Information.//
