GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  I have approved the selection of Captain Joseph F. Albano Jr., 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, 2d Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, MARFORCOM, as the recipient of the CY2019 Leftwich Trophy for outstanding leadership for performance while serving as a company commander within 2d Marine Division.  As expected, the competition was exceptionally keen.  All nominees had exemplary records which indicated noteworthy leadership and command ability.
