GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Per reference G, The Marine Aviation Field Accession board now falls under the authority of Deputy Commandant, Manpower and Reserve Affairs.  This MARADMIN seeks applications from those motivated professionals who desire to challenge themselves by entering the 75XX or 73XX aviation occupational fields.
2.  A board will convene on 8 June 2021 and will select applicants for FY22 aviation Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training.  All who can demonstrate that their entrance into aviation is in the best interest of the Marine Corps are encouraged to apply.  The deadline for applications is 1 June 2021.
2.a.  In addition to the strengths and abilities of each applicant, board members will consider MOS inventory health and career timing as significant variables for selection.  The current conditions of MOS inventory in conjunction with changes in force design may significantly impact an applicant’s chances despite the merits of their past performance and capabilities.
2.b.  Opportunities for specific programs and eligibility for certain PMOSs are dependent on the needs of the Marine Corps.  As an result, correspondence with your monitor is mandatory and is covered in paragraph 6.e.
3.  The following programs are available for active duty Marine officers (read in three columns):

4.  Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO) starts upon designation as a Naval Aviator or upon being awarded a new PMOS (7315 or 7318)
4.a.  ADSO will run concurrently with existing obligations.
4.b.  For all selectees, a new active duty service contract (ADSC) shall be initiated with MMOA prior to issuance of PCS orders.  Selectees are responsible for ensuring the new ADSC is included within their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF).
5.  Eligibility details:
5.a.  UAS Officer (73XX) Field Accession Board applicants must receive a 4 or higher for the Academic Qualification Rating (AQR) and a 6 or higher for the Pilot Flight Aptitude Rating (PFAR) or Flight Officer Flight Aptitude Rating (FOFAR) on the Aviation Selection Test Battery (ASTB).  Additionally, applicants must meet specific medical requirements outlined in reference F.
5.b.  Student Naval Aviator (SNA) Field Accession Board applicants must receive a 4 or higher for the AQR and a 6 or higher for the PFAR on the ASTB.  Additionally, applicants must meet specific medical requirements outlined in reference F.
5.c.  All Applicants.
5.c.1.  Applicants must have less than 5 Years Commissioned Service (YCS) by 8 June 2021.
5.c.2.  Applicants must have 18 months time-on-station (TOS) by 8 June 2021.  TOS exceptions from MMOA, such as for applicants on one-year PCS orders, should be documented prior to the board.
5.c.3.  Applicants must be able to execute orders in FY22.
5.c.4.  Applicants must not have been previously selected on a Field Accession Board.
5.c.5.  Applicants who require past ASTB scores or need to take the ASTB may contact Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI) by sending an email to:  usn.pensacola.navmedoptractrpns.list.nmotc-astb@mail.mil with the request.
5.c.6.  Applicants may be eligible for multiple programs and are encouraged to select and rank programs according to interest.
6.  Application Requirements:
6.a.  Applicants shall complete an online application by navigating to:  https:(slash)(slash)go.max.gov/dod/FY22AviationBoards
6.b.  Applications must include a copy of a signed and current medical upchit (DD2992) that indicates the eligibility for the programs listed in the application.
6.c.  Command endorsements shall include the first O-6 level commander in the applicant’s chain of command and address the aviation abilities or potential of the applicant.  If the endorsing O-6 in not an aviator, the statement of aviation abilities and potential may be omitted and letter of recommendation from an aviation O-6 may be submitted.
6.c.1.  Endorsements shall address the command assessment on the applicant executing a PCS in FY22, career timing implications, and the applicant’s PME status.
6.c.2.  When seeking command endorsements, applicants shall generate an administrative action (AA) form that contains the information provided by the applicant in the online application.  This AA form shall be submitted with the signed endorsements.
6.d.  Letters of recommendation are highly encouraged and should address the aviation abilities or potential of the applicant.
6.e.  Applicants must include a copy of an email from their PMOS monitor stating that the officer meets TOS requirements (as indicated in paragraph 5.c.2), is not in receipt of orders, career timing supports, and is eligible to apply.
6.f.  Those applicants unable to submit applications online may submit an AA form application in pdf format via email to the POCs indicated above.

8.  Selection results will be announced via MARADMIN shortly after the conclusion of the board proceedings.
9.  This bulletin is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
