GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The following publications are available via the Marine Corps Doctrine Website https:(slant slant)usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/MCEN_Support_MCDoctrine:
1.A.  Marine Corps Tactical Publication (MCTP) 12-10B, Urban Operations, was approved on 21 July 2022.  This publication supersedes MCTP 12-10B, Urban Operations, dated 7 December 2017.  It provides Marines with concepts and techniques for conducting urban operations.  MCTP 12-10B provides commanders and staffs the information needed to plan and conduct urban operations as well as operational- and tactical-level war linkages and extra-organizational considerations in support of training and partnered or combined operations.  It provides scenarios, templates, and examples of products that may be used during operations.  The principal audience for MCTP 12-10B includes Marine Corps commanders, leaders, unit staffs, and Marines, although trainers and educators will also find utility in this document.  Marine Corps commanders and staffs serving as a joint task force or multinational headquarters should also refer to applicable joint or multinational doctrine for conducting joint urban operations.
1.B.  Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-40D.3, Carpentry, was approved on 29 July 2022.  This publication supersedes MCRP 3-17.7C, Carpentry, dated 20 September 2013 and is intended for use as a training guide and reference text for engineer personnel responsible for planning and executing theater of operations construction.  It provides techniques and procedures for frame construction, preparing and using a bill of materials, building layout, formatting for concrete slabs and foundations, framing and finish carpentry, roof framing and coverings, bridge and wharf construction, and the materials used for these operations.
1.C.  MCRP 3-40G.3, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures [MTTP] for Mortuary Affairs in Theaters of Operations, was approved on 3 August 2022, as a single, ready reference that complements Service components’ logistics, field service, and departmental manuals that support the execution of deployed mortuary affairs operations.  This publication provides updated content and nests with all Services’ current operating concepts.  The principal audience for MCRP 3-40G.3 is all Service members of the profession of arms, although trainers and educators will also find utility in this document.  Commanders and staffs of Service component headquarters serving as joint task force or multinational headquarters should also refer to applicable joint or multinational doctrine.
1.D.  MCRP 2-10.2, Operational Meteorology and Oceanography, was approved on 1 September 2022.  This publication supersedes MCRP 2-10.2, Operational Level Integration of METOC Capabilities, dated 1 December 2013.  It establishes meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) doctrine for naval forces to support operational planning. MCRP 2-10.2 bridges the gap between Joint Publication 3-59, Meteorological and Oceanographic Operations, various Navy and Marine Corps doctrine and training publications, operation orders, operational tasking messages, METOC letters of instructions, and local guidance covering METOC support at the tactical level of warfare and routine daily operations.  It supports operational planning by describing how naval METOC capabilities integrate with and support fleet operations, including operational safety and security cooperation initiatives.  Target audiences include major and numbered fleet commanders and staffs, Marine expeditionary force commanding generals and staffs, and METOC personnel who plan and execute METOC operations.
1.E.  MCRP 3-05.4, Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Operations, was approved on 1 September 2022.  This publication supersedes Marine Corps Interim Publication 13-10Ii, Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Operations, dated 1 November 2013 and erratum dated 2 May 2016.  MCRP 3-05.4 provides tactics, techniques, and procedures to conduct unilateral or joint maritime interception operations (MIO) and visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) operations, including US military involvement in multinational compliant or noncompliant boardings.  It also covers the support that a Navy commanding officer will need to provide for opposed boardings conducted by Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, or special operations forces.  This publication provides tactical guidance and operational procedures to support VBSS at the unit level, specifically a surface combatant ship and its VBSS teams.  It provides operating procedures for ships, naval staffs, and joint and multinational forces involved in planning, executing, and supporting MIO.
1.F.  MCTP 3-01C, Machine Guns and Machine Gun Gunnery, was approved on 9 September 2022.  This publication supersedes Marine Corps Warfighting Publication 3-15.1, Machine Guns and Machine Gun Gunnery, dated 1 September 1996, and erratum dated 2 May 2016.  It supports tactics, techniques, and procedures for employing machine guns in support of Marine Corps units.  MCTP 3-01C describes how various machine guns are maintained and employed by Marine Corps machine gun crews and provides principles and techniques for their use when engaging and destroying enemy targets.  This publication is designed to educate Marines on machine gun employment, theory, advanced techniques and tactics, and training.  It is intended to be used as a reference by units employing machine guns, regardless of unit type.  It outlines a standardized way to train Marine machine gunners by using gunnery tables.
