SUBJ/2023 ACTIVE DUTY FUND DRIVE FOR THE NAVY-MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  For 119 years, the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) has provided a wide range of financial support to members of the Navy and Marine Corps, and their families, in times of need.  This support is only possible through the generosity of NMCRS’s donors.  On 1 March 2023, the Department of the Navy began the annual Active Duty Fund Drive (ADFD) in support of NMCRS.
2.  For many Marine Corps and Navy families, economic uncertainty and a rising cost of living have impacted budgets for basic essential items.  As a result, some Marines and Sailors are facing particularly difficult financial challenges.
3.  Marines pride ourselves on taking care of our own.  This year’s NMCRS ADFD provides an opportunity to help our fellow Marines and Sailors who are facing financial challenges.  As we kick off this annual fundraising drive, know that your contributions enable the Society to continue its mission of making life better for our Marines, Sailors, and families.
4.  Semper Fidelis.  David H. Berger, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
