RMKS/1. SITUATION. SINCE THE FOUNDING OF THE MARINE CORPS
UNIVERSITY (MCU) IN 1989, SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE IN
THE QUALITY AND METHOD OF DELIVERY OF OUR ENLISTED PROFESSIONAL
MILITARY EDUCATION (EPME) PROGRAMS. MCU CONTINUALLY ASSESSES
ITS INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH A VARIETY OF INTERNAL
AND EXTERNAL SURVEY INSTRUMENTS. MCU IS CURRENTLY CONDUCTING A
REVIEW OF ALL PME PROGRAMS AND POLICIES. THE FIRST ITERATION
OF THIS PROCESS IS THE COMMAND SPONSORED CORPORALS COURSE (CSCC).
2. MISSION. TO SOLICIT PARTICIPATION IN AN ON-LINE SURVEY
OF THE CSCC BEING CONDUCTED BY MCU IN ORDER TO HELP DIRECT THE
FUTURE OF THE CSCC.
3. EXECUTION.
A. COMMANDER'S INTENT. TO GIVE STAFF NONCOMMISSIONED
OFFICERS (SNCO'S) AND COMMISSIONED OFFICERS, MARINE
CORPS-WIDE, THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE INPUT/COMMENTS TO
MCU WHICH WILL BE USED TO ASSESS THE CSCC FOR
EFFECTIVENESS AND RELEVANCY. END STATE WILL BE ACHIEVED
WHEN THE RESULTS OF THE SURVEY REFLECT A QUANTIFIABLE
REPRESENTATION OF THE TARGET AUDIENCE.
B. CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS. SNCO'S (GUNNERY SERGEANT THROUGH
SERGEANT MAJOR) AND OFFICERS (CAPTAIN THROUGH COLONEL),
FROM ALL OCCUPATIONAL FIELDS (OCCFLDS) AND LEVELS OF PME,
ARE REQUESTED TO PARTICIPATE.
C. COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS. THE SURVEY WILL BE
ADMINISTERED ON-LINE FROM 14 JANUARY TO 7 FEBRUARY 2003
AT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE:

TAKES APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. COMMANDERS
AT ALL LEVELS ARE REQUESTED TO VIGOROUSLY SUPPORT THIS
SURVEY EFFORT. COMPREHENSIVE AND HONEST INPUT BY ALL
PARTICIPANTS IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR ABILITY TO OFFER PME
PROGRAMS THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE,
THE MARINE CORPS, AND THE INDIVIDUAL MARINE.
