RMKS/1.  On 15 February 2016, the Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration amended Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 5-12D, Organization of the United States Marine Corps, dated 26 Aug 2015.  MCRP 5-12D is available for download via the United States Marine Corps doctrine website at https:(slant)(slant)www.doctrine.usmc.mil.

2.  Background

    A.  MCRP 5-12D, Organization of the United States Marine Corps, provides general information on the mission, concept of employment, organization, and equipment of Marine Corps forces, including Marine Forces Command; Marine Forces Pacific; Marine Forces Reserve; and their subordinate organizations.  This publication should be used as a guide based on the current Marine Corps table of organization and table of equipment.  The overall focus of this publication is on defined structures, command relationships, missions, tasks, and concepts of employment.

    B.  This publication is primarily intended for Marine commanders, their staffs, Marine Corps training and education institutions, and Department of Defense (DOD) personnel.  Changes will periodically be made through amendments to MCRP 5-12D.  Marine Corps Bulletins (MCBUL) 5400, inputs from command advocates and Marine force commanders, and changes to doctrine are catalysts for these changes.  This amendment includes changes driven by MCBUL 5400, Activation of Fast Company Pacific Marine Corps Security Force Regiment (ref (a)), MCBUL 5400, Redesignation of Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (ref (b)), and Redesignation/realignment of Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (ref (c)).  For detailed information on specific unit structure and equipment listings, contact the TFSD POC.

3.  Coordinating instructions.  MCO 5600.31A, Marine Corps Printing and Publishing Regulations (ref (d)) details steps required to request publication hard copies.  However, this publication will be disseminated via electronic distribution only, unless commanders submit compelling needs justification for printed copies.  Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in (ref (d)), paragraph 4a(2).  For Marine Corps Publication Distribution System identification purposes, the publication control number is 144 000050 00.

4.  This MARADMIN is applicable to Marine Corps Total Force.

5.  Release authorized by Lieutenant General Robert S. Walsh, Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration.//
