GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2016 National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) professional development and training conference from 19-21 July 2016 at the Brashear Conference Center, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Norfolk, VA.
2.  NNOA’s mission is to enhance Sea Service operational readiness by providing professional development, mentoring, and recruiting in an effort to achieve a diverse Officer Corps that reflects the demographics of the nation.  This year’s theme is, "Engaged and Committed to Developing Sea Service Leaders."
3.  Marine Corps funded participation for this conference has been approved within a limited scope.  HQMC (MPE) will fund conference/registration fees for up to twenty local Marine Corps attendees.  All attendees must coordinate with HQMC (MPE) prior to attending.
4.  Commands are not authorized to fund additional conference attendees beyond the twenty HQMC funded service members.  Only local service members are authorized to request HQMC funding for conference/registration fees to this conference in Norfolk, VA.  Filing of TAD or any form of travel claim is not authorized for local attendees approved to attend this conference.
