GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) is seeking applications from Marines interested in participating in the Armed Forces Marathon Championship and Challenge Cup Competition, which will be held in conjunction with the Marine Corps Marathon on 30 October 2016 in Arlington, VA.
2.  Marines interested in applying for the team must meet one of the following distances and minimum times in the past 24 months.
Men:
5 kilometers: 17:00 (5:29 pace per mile)
10 kilometers: 35:00 (5:38 pace per mile)
10 miles: 58:00 (5:48 pace per mile)
13.1 miles: 1:18:00 (5:57 pace per mile)
26.2 miles: 2:48:00 (6:24 pace per mile)
Women:
5 kilometers: 20:00 (6:27 pace per mile)
10 kilometers: 41:00 (6:37 pace per mile)
10 miles: 1:08 (6:48 pace per mile)
13.1 miles: 1:32:00 (7:02 pace per mile)
26.2 miles: 3:15:00 (7:27 pace per mile)
3.  Interested Marines must submit an online application to the MCMO NLT 15 June 2016.
4.  The All-Marine online application system may be accessed at www.usmc-mccs.org/services/fitness/all-marine-sports.  Marines must create an account before logging into the application system.
5.  Applications must include past running experiences to include name of the events, locations, dates, and individual results.  Applications must contain a command endorsement.  For any technical issues with the All-Marine online application system, please contact the MCMO POC.
6.  Funding and participation is available through the MCMO for active duty and drilling reserve Marines only.
