GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  THIS IS A COORDINATED MARADMIN WITH HQMC PLANS POLICIES AND OPERATION SECURITY DIVISION (PS) AND DEPUTY COMMANDANT INSTALLATION AND LOGISTICS (DC, IL).  PER REF A, MARINE CORPS BASE BRIGS AT CAMP PENDLETON CA, CAMP LEJEUNE NC, AND QUANTICO VA ARE DIRECTED TO TRANSFER THEIR POST-TRIAL CORRECTIONAL FUNCTIONS TO THE JOINT REGIONAL CONFINEMENT FACILITIES (JRCFS) ABOARD MCAS MIRAMAR CA, NAVAL WEAPONS STATION CHARLESTON SC, AND NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY, NORTHWEST ANNEX, CHESAPEAKE VA, RESPECTIVELY.
2.  PER REF B, AS OF 1 JULY 2010, MCB BRIG CAMP LEJEUNE, NC AND MCB BRIG CAMP PENDLETON, CA ARE TEMPORARILY DESIGNATED AS DOD LEVEL I CONFINEMENT FACILITIES WITH UNLIMITED PRE-TRIAL SUPPORT AND LIMITED POST-TRIAL CONFINEMENT TO ADJUDGED SENTENCES OF 90 DAYS OR LESS. ADDITIONALLY, AS OF 1 JULY 2010, MCB BRIG QUANTICO, VA IS PERMANENTLY DESIGNATED AS A PRE-TRIAL CONFINEMENT FACILITY (PCF)WITH NO POST-TRIAL CONFINEMENT SUPPORT.

5.  MARINE CORPS PRISONERS ARE SUBJECT TO THE REGULATIONS OF THE CONFINING JRCF AND WILL ARRIVE POSSESSING THE UNIFORM ARTICLES LISTED IN REF( C).
A.  ITEMS NOT LISTED IN REF (C) ARE STILL SUBJECT TO THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED IN REFERENCES (D) AND (E).
B.  UNIFORM REPLACEMENT WILL ONLY BE GRANTED FOR PRISONERS IN AN ADJUDGED CATEGORY.
C.  PERSONAL EFFECTS INVENTORIES ARE STILL REQUIRED WHEN MARINE CORPS PRISONERS ARE DIRECTED TO PRE-TRIAL CONFINEMENT FACILITIES.
D.  PERSONAL EFFECTS AND BAGGAGE CENTER (PEBC) WILL COMPLY WITH THE JRCF HEALTH AND COMFORT LIST IN REF (C) BEFORE DISPOSAL.
