GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  SITUATION.  THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE RESERVE ORDER WRITING SYSTEM (ROWS) WILL BE IMPLEMENTING A MAJOR CHANGE TO THE SYSTEM ON 06 APRIL 2009.  THE CURRENT ROWS SYSTEM IS A CLIENT SERVER SYSTEM USING CITRIX TO RUN THRU AN INTERNET BROWSER.  THE NEW SYSTEM (MROWS-W), IS A JAVA-BASED, WEB-ENABLED APPLICATION.  THE NEW SYSTEM WILL BE ACCESSED FROM WITHIN MARINE ON-LINE VIA A HYPERLINK FROM THE RESOURCES TAB.  ALL CURRENT ROWS USERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN AN MOL ACCOUNT TO ACCESS MROWS.
2.  EXECUTION.  THE CURRENT SCHEDULE IS TO SHUT-DOWN THE CITRIX SERVER TO ROWS ON THURSDAY, 02 APRIL 2009 AT APPROXIMATELY 1800, MIGRATE THE DATA TO THE NEW SYSTEM, VERIFY THE NEW SYSTEM AND HAVE  IT FIELDED FOR USE ON MONDAY, 06 APRIL 2009.  ALL ORDERS (CURRENT AND HISTORICAL) WILL BE COPIED INTO MROWS AND BE ACCESSABLE TO USERS.
3.  CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS.  MROWS-W ACCOUNTS WILL BE BOUND TO THE MOL ACCOUNTS UTILIZING CAC SINGLE-SIGN ON (SSO).  ACCESS TO MOL IS AVAILABLE FOR NON-CAC USERS, BUT AFTER THE FIRST TIME ACCESSING MROWS-W FROM MOL YOU WILL ONLY BE REQUIRED TO LOG ON TO MOL TO ACCESS THE MROWS-W APPLICATION. THE FIRST TIME A USER ENTERS MROW-W VIA MOLS, THE USER WILL BE CHALLENGED TO ENTER THEIR CURRENT ROWS USERID AND PASSWORD. 
4.  USER MANUALS CAN BE DOWNLOADED IN PDFS FROM THE MROWS HOME PAGE. THERE ARE ON-LINE TRAINING COURSES WHICH CAN BE VIEWED FROM THE DEFENSE CONNECT ONLINE (DCO) WEBSITE (HTTPS:SLASHSLASHWWW.DCO.DOD.MIL). THIS WEBSITE WILL REQUIRE USERS TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT (AVAILABLE TO ALL DOD PERSONNEL). ONCE LOGGED INTO THE DCO APPLICATION THERE IS A LINK TO PUBLIC COURSES IN THE MENU LIST ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN. THE FOLLOWING COURSES HAVE BEEN PLACED IN THE WEBSITE UNDER WEB CONFERENCING/PUBLIC MEETINGS: SCROLL DOWN TO THE RECORDINGS BEGINNING WITH MROWS. CLICK ON THE NAME TO ACCESS THE CONFERENCE. (NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE SPEAKERS/HEADPHONES HOOKED UP TO LISTEN TO THE CONFERENCES).

  -    MROWS FUND APPROVAL
  -    MROWS HARD HOLD APPROVALS
  -    MROWS MFR G3 WAIVERS
  -    MROWS REQUEST ENTRY
  -    MROWS SECURITY APPROVAL
USERS MAY ALSO LOGIN TO THE TEST SERVER IN ST LOUIS FROM 31 MARCH - 03 APRIL TO EXPLORE HOW THE NEW SYSTEM WILL WORK.  THE MROWS TEST  WEBSITE IS: (HTTPS:SLASHSLASHSSOSAT2.MOL.USMC.MIL). USERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO LOGIN VIA CAC OR MOL LOGIN AND PASSWORD TO ACCESS THE TEST SYSTEM.  ORDERS GENERATED IN THE TEST SYSTEM ARE FOR TRAINING AND TESTING PURPOSES ONLY AND WILL NOT MIGRATE TO MROWS WITH IMPLEMENTATION.
5.  WITH MROWS (WEB ENABLED) NOW BEING A SYSTEM OF RECORD WITH A SYSCOM PROJECT OFFICER ASSIGNED, CMC RA WILL BE THE ASSIGNED PROGRAM MANAGER, AND MFR IN SUPPORT AS FUNCTIONAL SMES.
