GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  SITUATION. THE ANNUAL 2007 FIRST
SERGEANT/MASTER SERGEANT EAST COAST REGIONAL SEMINAR WILL BE
HOSTED BY THE STAFF NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER ACADEMY, QUANTICO, VIRGINIA. TRAVEL AND PER DIEM WILL BE FUNDED BY INDIVIDUAL
COMMANDS. AS A SENIOR ENLISTED PME COURSE FOR SNCOS, THE SEMINAR WILL PROVIDE AN OVERVIEW OF MARINE CORPS TRENDS AND FOCUS UPON POLICIES AND DOCTRINE AFFECTING THE MARINE CORPS TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE. ATTENDEES WILL GAIN A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE ON CURRENT ISSUES THROUGH INTERACTION WITH SENIOR MARINE CORPS LEADERS AND POLICY MAKERS. RESERVE MARINES WILL BE FUNDED BY THEIR RESPECTIVE SUBORDINATE COMMAND. PER REF (A), MARINES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AT LEAST ONE OF THESE SEMINARS DURING THEIR TIME IN GRADE AS A 1STSGT/MSGT. 2.  MISSION.  SNCOA QUANTICO ANNUAL 2007 FIRST SERGEANT/MASTER SERGEANT REGIONAL SEMINAR. 3. EXECUTION. THE QUANTICO SNCOA ANNUAL 2007 FIRST SERGEANT/MASTER SERGEANT SEMINAR CONVENES 1-5 OCTOBER 2007 AT LITTLE HALL, MCU, QUANTICO,VIRGINIA.
THE FOLLOWING ATTENDEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA APPLIES:
A. RECENTLY PROMOTED 1STSGT/MSGT (WITHIN LAST 2 YRS) OR
SELECTEES WHO HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED THE SEMINAR.
B. SENIOR CHIEF PETTY OFFICERS SERVING WITH THE USMC ARE ALSO
ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND. C. COMMANDERS WILL ENSURE THE WIDEST
DISSEMINATION OF THIS MESSAGE TO ALL ELIGIBLE MARINES/SAILORS
AND SHOULD AFFORD THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND CONSISTENT

ACCOMMODATIONS AT DESIGNATED HOTELS. DO NOT WAIT FOR
CONFIRMATION FROM STAFF NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER ACADEMY TO
MAKE ROOM RESERVATIONS. B. GOVT TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED
TO AND FROM THE DESIGNATED HOTELS LISTED ABOVE DURING THE
COURSE.  HOWEVER, ATTENDEES MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN
TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO QUANTICO WHEN REPORTING AND
