Close-Air Support

Marjeh
Air Force MQ-9A Reaper operators provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and released rockets over enemy targets to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers called the engagements successful.

Sangin
Navy F/A-18C Hornet pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force with flares which ground controllers called successful

Musa Qala
F/A-18C pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and released precision-guided munitions against an enemy target to deter enemy activity. Joint terminal attack controllers and ground controllers deemed the engagement successful.

Asmar
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and JTACs declared the engagement successful.

Morghab
F-15E aircrews and F-16C pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrews released precision-guided munitions and conducted multiple strafing runs against enemy targets to deter enemy activity. Kandahar

Airlift Action:

Badghis Province
An Air Force C-130 Hercules aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Badghis Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 17,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Helmand Province
Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircrews flew combat-airdrop missions in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 148,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Konor Province
A C-17 aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Konor Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 48,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.
