Close-Air Support

Chahar Bagh
Air Force MQ-9A Reaper operators and F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The operators released a missile against an enemy target. The F-15E aircrews strafed an enemy tree line position. Ground controllers declared the engagements successful.

Asmar
Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots and F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The pilots and aircrews released multiple precision-guided munitions against enemy positions. The pilots also conducted shows of force with flares to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and on-scene joint terminal attack controllers declared the engagements successful.

Sar Banader
Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces convoy. The pilots released precision-guided munitions against enemy targets. JTACs called the engagements successful.

Asadabad
F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrews released precision-guided munitions against enemy targets to suppress hostile fire and conducted shows of force with flares to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers declared the engagements successful.

Tarin Kowt
A-10 pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The pilots conducted cannon-fire strafing runs, launched rockets, and conducted shows of force with flares on an enemy position. Ground controllers and JTACs declared the engagements successful.

Sheykhabad
F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrews conducted a show of force to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers called the engagement successful.

Konduz

Paktika Province
An Air Force C-130 Hercules aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 34,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Badghis Province
A C-130 aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Badghis Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 37,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Ghazni Province
