EVERY YEAR MARINE CORPS FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE DEPARTMENTS COMPETE WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS IN OUR SISTER SERVICES TO DETERMINE THE BEST UNITS AND PERSONNEL IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.  MARINE CORPS FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE STRUCTURAL AND AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE DEPARTMENTS CONTINUE TO DO A GREAT JOB EVERYDAY PROTECTING OUR WARFIGHTERS ABOARD MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.  TODAY I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AND CONGRATULATE THE FOLLOWING MARINE CORPS FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND FIREFIGHTER THAT HAVE BEEN SINGLED OUT AS THE BEST IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.
