New Government Travel Charge Cards in mail now

19 Aug 2008 | Tech. Sgt. Jake Chappelle

Airmen in the 446th Airlift Wing should expect the new Government Travel Charge Card from Citibank in their mailboxes between now and Aug.25.

In order to assist Citibank in distributing the cards, Airmen should continue to update their Electronic Account Government Ledger System information with Bank of America. This will help to verify addresses to make sure all Airmen get the new GTCC.

The stop use date for the current GTCC is Nov. 29 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and the start date for the new card is Nov. 30.

Receipt of your new card should be verified immediately to ensure it will be active on Nov. 30. Receipt verification can be done by phone or online.

Any Airmen in travel during the current GTCC stop date and the new GTCC start date should charge official expenses up-to-and-including Nov. 29, 11:59 p.m. EST on to their old card. Any official charges after midnight should go to the new Citi card.

The VISA brand will give Airmen the same global usage as the current Bank of America GTCC and charge limits will remain the same.
