Calm in chaos: Marine responds to N.Y. gas leak explosion

It started out just like any other day in Manhattan – a cloudy morning withtrains running through Harlem.  Sgt. Rasheem M. Cold winds brought a chill over the Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 2,2nd Marine Logistics Group, as they waited in the muck and water saturated DavisAirfield, N.C., March 19.  The wind was nothing compared to what wascoming in from above: “the Hurricane Maker.”   Landing support specialistswith CLR-2 stood their ground and braced themselves

2nd MLG Marines cook off competition winning chef of the quarter

Thirteen teams came up with their best menus, decorations andpresentations to compete for chef of the quarter here, March 11.   Onlyfive teams made it to the final round, but all fell short of the winning crewled by Sgt. Tannisha Gamble, a food service specialist with Food ServiceCompany, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group.
