Lieutenant Gen. Richard Tryon, commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe, promotes Master Sgt. Mario Lopez-Diaz, the senior enlisted advisor of Georgian Liaison Team 12 during his frocking ceremony March 20, 2014 aboard the Krstanisi National Training Center in Georgia. Georgian Liaison Team 12 is slated to deploy to Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force. Lopez-Diaz was frocked, which means he will wear the rank of master sergeant to fulfill his job position’s requirements, but will not receive any pay increase until he officially is promoted.
