Marines with 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, play volleyball during a family day and beach barbeque Sept. 10 at Oura Wan Beach on Camp Schwab. The event took place after the unit’s return from Exercise Koolendong, where the Marines conducted joint training operations with the Australian Army. “We have a lot of things going on next month all the way through Christmas, so this was just an opportunity to take a break and recognize the Marines’ hard work,” said Lt. Col. Jim Sweeney, a Papillon, Nebraska, native and executive officer for Headquarters Company, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
