Marines with Recruiting Station Detroit and 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, presented various national and military colors during a 1939 commemoration at The Polish Mission of the Orchard Lake Schools Sept. 7, 2014. In honor of the 75th Anniversary of the outbreak of WWII in Poland, the Marines presented and retired the colors before and after mass, followed by a slow march to Katyń/Smolensk monument.
