The Honorable Mr. Ray Mabus, The Secretary of the Navy, addresses Marines and Sailors with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th Marine Expeditionary Unit during his visit aboard the USS Makin Island, moored at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, Nov. 22, 2016. During Mabus’ visit, he spoke to Marines and Sailors on the future of the Navy, observed shipboard procedures pulling out of port and met with ARG/MEU leadership to discuss their future operations in the Pacific and Central Commands’ areas of operation.
