U.S. Marines with Marine Attack Squadron 311 prepare for the AV-8B Harriers to take off during Exercise MAX THUNDER 17 at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 26, 2017. Max Thunder serves as an opportunity for U.S. and ROK forces to train together and sharpen tactical skills for the defense of the Asia-Pacific region. It is an annual military-flying exercise built to promote interoperability between U.S. and ROK forces.
