Staff Sgt. Liam A. Flynn died when a U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter crashed near Eglin, Florida, at approximately 8:30 p.m. March 10, 2015. Flynn, 33, a native of Clane Co Kildare, Ireland, served within U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operational Command as an assistant element member. His personal awards include (3) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals with Valor, the Bronze Star with Valor and Combat Action Ribbon.
