A U.S. Marine with Black Sea Rotational Force 16.2 provides security during a platoon attack during Platinum Lynx 16.5 at Babadag Training Area, Romania, Sept. 24, 2016. Platinum Lynx 16.5 allows Marines from units across the globe, including the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines and a Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team based out of Spain, to train alongside partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan, and Caucasus regions. The training enhances collective professional military capabilities and promotes regional stability.
