Primary lifeguard Francisco Cadillo ensures drowning “victim” Axel Rivera, lifeguard supervisor, is in place on the rescue backboard and one of Rivera’s arms is held firmly by Sgt. Maxim Krymov, volunteer Marine lifeguard, while Cadillo gets out of the pool to help Krymov pull the backboard up on to the pool deck. The Oasis Pool lifeguards and rescue elements of the Marine Corps Fire Department participated in the Emergency Action Plan training exercise August 27.
