CO awards MEU plaque to ISF commander

Col. John W. Bullard, commanding officer, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), Camp Pendleton, Calif., hands an 11th MEU (SOC) plaque to the commodore of the Iraq Army in Um Qasr.

Marines and sailors from Force Reconnaissance, 11th MEU (SOC), trained elements from the Iraq Army in a variety of Marine Corps tactics including leadership, patrols, marksmanship, martial arts and other types of training.

Force Recon spent approximately 30 days with the Iraqis, who were also trained by the British military.
