Major Jason D. Morgan
Executive Officer, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115, MCAS Beaufort
Major Morgan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 1994 as a field radio operator assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 14 Marines stationed at NAS Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 1998.
As a company grade officer he was assigned to VMFA-115 where he deployed onboard the USS Harry S. Truman, to the Arabian Gulf. While with the Silver Eagles he served in multiple billets and flew in support of OIF from November 2004 until March 2005. Following his tour with VMFA-115 he was assigned to The Basic School serving as a B Co. Staff Platoon Commander, M Co. Executive and then Commanding Officer.
As a field grade officer, he returned to VMFA-115 as the squadron Director of Safety and Standardization. He subsequently deployed to Djibouti, Africa joining CJTF-HOA, as the Director of the Joint Logistics Operations Center. After the completion of his CJTF-HOA duties, he immediately rejoined VMFA-115 while on deployment in the Western Pacific as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
Major Morgan’s personal decorations include the Navy Marine Corps Achievement medal, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Air Medal with numeral “1.”
