5/22/2012 - Tactical Air Control Party course trains Marines to win
MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Wherever Marine ground forces are found,
Tactical Air Control Party Marines are sure to be nearby. Marines from 2nd Marine Air Wing,
2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, and Company L, 3rd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment
all assisted in the training for the new TACP students aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune,
May 14-18.
5/16/2012 - Follow the Leader: Tactical Small-Unit Leadership Course prepares junior Marines to take charge

More than 25 Marines from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division
participated in a Tactical Small-Unit Leadership Course, May 2nd - 18th. The main
focus of the event was to take potential fire team leaders out of their comfort
zone and into simulated combat zones where decisions normally made by others were
now up to them.
4/29/2012 - Marines Train with New Mortar System During Field Exercise

MARINES CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Marines with 2nd Batallion, 2nd Marines Regiment,
2nd Marine Division, got their first opportunity during a division mortarmen range exercise arranged
by the Division Training Center April 19, to fire the new A224A1 mortar weapon system. It is an
updated system of the M224 Legacy, formally the main tool employed by the division's morterman.

8/3/2011 - American, Romanian Marines Conduct Bilateral Amphibious Raid

CAPU MIDIA, ROMANIA - Waves washed over the front of the amphibious assault vehicle as it
powered through the Black Sea. As it neared the shore, the driver engaged the vehicle's tracks,
which began to grip into the sea floor, pulling the AAV onto Capu Midia, Romania, approximately
four kilometers from their start aboard the USS Whidbey Island.
