Worship in any clime and place

Marines and sailors sit and listen during one of the first religious services held aboard Camp Delaram II, Feb. 28. Now that the entire Headquarters element is on deck, the unit is able to provide religious services for its enthusiasts.

Every Sunday, a catholic service is provided for those who choose to attend, and immediately following is a protestant service. Though not all religious services are available, Cmdr. Bill Appleton, Regimental Combat Team 2 chaplain, does everything possible to accommodate those in need of a good sermon.

“If there is an identified faith group that has a need, we find a way to meet it,” said Appleton. “I believe that faith plays an integral part of being a warrior.”
While the Marines and sailors of RCT-2 prepare for the year ahead, the chaplain and his aides are committed to holding services and providing counsel to all in need.
