Information for the Families
Hello,
I am the Family Readiness Officer (FRO) for the 2/6 “Ready Battalion.” I am excited to be a part of the team, and working with our dynamic Family Readiness Team (FRT). I want everyone to know the FRT will do its best to prepare all of our Marines, single and married, for deployment.
Our commander, Lt Col Morrissey, has charged me to be the conduit for official two-way communication between the unit and 2/6 family members and friends. I am able to provide information & referral, readiness and deployment support, morale support, as well as volunteer management, guidance and support when it comes to Family Readiness for our unit. I stay behind and do not deploy with unit so I can effectively perform these duties.
The Family Readiness Team is a dynamic collective group supporting your 2/6 Marine, families and friends. The team has a wealth of experience in deployments and supporting those who have the tough job of remaining behind and being supportive. I need all of the team's help and cooperation to be successful as your FRO as no one person can do any of this alone. Our Parent Advocate Network is a very strong part of what makes us successful and we are fortunate to have a Parent Advocate Team working hard to ensure everyone stays connected.
