Marines, sailors receive recognition after year-long efforts 

The 2nd Marine Logistics Group command recognized some of its members with annual awards during a ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 20.

Petty Officer 1st Class Raymond R. Price, from Tarrant County, Texas, was recognized as the Senior Sailor of the Year, while Petty Officer 2nd Class Donnell Proctor, from Baltimore, was awarded the Junior Sailor of the Year award. Seaman Joseph R. Morgott, from New Orleans, was honored as the Blue Jacket of the Year. Sgt. David A. Steiner, from Union Bridge, Md., was awarded Marine of the Year, and Cpl. Paul W. Vandewettering, from Kaukauna, Wis., was recognized as the Noncommissioned Officer of the Year.

The Marines and sailors received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, an engraved knife and a Letter of Appreciation on behalf of the command in recognition for their year-long efforts.
