Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin graduated from Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina in August 1987 and the School of Infantry, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in 1988. He was a Rifleman in Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment from 1987-1989. Upon completion of Officer’s Candidate School and graduation from Norwich University, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in May 1991. He attended the Ground Supply Officer Course prior to his assignment as the Battalion Supply Officer, 1st Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Okinawa, Japan.

During April 1993, he returned to the United States for duty as the Executive Officer, Combat Service Support Detachment 23, 2nd Force Service Support Group located at Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina. Upon completion of this tour of duty, he was assigned as the Assistant Inspector-Instructor, Washington, DC where he was responsible for the training and readiness of Marine Forces Reserve units including: 4th Civil Affairs Group, Supply Company, Rations Company, 10th Counterintelligence Team, 12th Counterintelligence Team, and Surgical Support Company “B”.

In March 1999, he attended the Combined Logistic Officer Advanced Course at the Army Logistic Management College, Fort Lee, Virginia.

Upon graduation in July, 1999, he reported for duty as the Supply/Fiscal Officer, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Pendleton, California where he completed two WESTPAC deployments, which included the establishment of Camp Rhino, Afghanistan with Task Force 58.

In July 2002, Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin reported to the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island to attend the Naval Command and Staff College. After graduation from Naval Command and Staff College, Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin graduated from the naval advanced warfare school, the Naval Operational Planner’s Course (NOPC) earning a skill designator of 0505, MAGTF Planner.

In September 2003, Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin reported to United States Joint Forces Command for duty as the Land Operations Officer, Standing Joint Force Headquarters (SJFHQ), where he coordinated and trained Combatant Commander Staffs on joint and multi-national planning and the implementation of SJFHQs. During this time Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin deployed twice to Iraq to help train and implement Collaborative Planning techniques and assist in the incorporation of assessment practices into the planning cycle at MNF-I and MNC-I.

In July, 2006 Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin reported to 1st Marine Division (REIN), for duty as the Division Supply Officer and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on 1 Jan 07.

From January 2008 until February 2009, Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin deployed to Iraq with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) as part of Multi-National Force West (MNF-W) as the G-3, Future Operations and Plans Officer.

 In July 2009, Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin arrived at the Naval War College, Newport, RI and served as a Faculty member at the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS).

Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin holds the MOS of Supply Officer, Logistics Officer, MAGTF Planner, and Joint Specialty Officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont; a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University, St. Louis Missouri, and a Master of Arts degree from the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island in National Security and Strategic Studies.

Sergeant Major Edens attended recruit training in August 1987 at MCRD Parris Island. Upon completion of Recruit Training, Pvt Edens reported to the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, NC to receive MOS training as an infantryman.

In March of 1988, he reported to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC where he completed his first deployment with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In May of 1989, he reported to Marine Security Guard School in Quantico, Va. In July of 1989, Lcpl Edens reported to Paramaribo, Suriname as a Watch Stander at the American Embassy and also served as the Mess NCO. In October 1990, Cpl Edens reported to the American Embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia where he served as the Bar NCO. In October of 1991, Cpl Edens reported to Singapore, Singapore where he again served as the Bar NCO.

In July of 1992, Sgt Edens reported to 1st Battalion 2nd Marines for duty as Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant in Alpha Company. After a deployment to Kuwait and Somalia in support of Operation Continue Hope/Restore Hope, Sgt Edens reported to 2nd Marine Division Schools where he instructed a myriad of different tactical courses in 1993.

In October 1994, Sgt Edens reported to Marine Recruiters School at MCRD San Diego. Upon completion he was assigned to Recruiting Station St. Louis, Missouri as the Officer Selection Officer Assistant. In 1997, SSgt Edens was transferred to Recruiting Substation Belleville/PSC East St. Louis, Illinois to serve as a canvasing recruiter.

In February 1999, SSgt Edens reported to 2nd Battalion 8th Marines Camp Lejeune, NC for duty as a Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Commander and Company Gunnery Sergeant. While at 2/8, SSgt Edens would deploy to Haiti, Panama, Greece and Kosovo. In March of 2002, SSgt Edens reported to G-3, Future Operation, III Marine Expeditionary Force Okinawa, Japan. While at the MEF Hqtrs he served in several operations chief billets (FutOps Chf, OPT Chf, MEB Ops Chf & Southeast Asia Chf).

In May 2005, GySgt Edens reported back 1st Battalion 2nd Marines Camp Lejeune NC for duty as the Platoon Sergeant for Combined Anti-Armor Team Platoon. GySgt Edens participated in a deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2006, 1stSgt Edens reported to duty at 2nd Battalion 2nd Marines as the Fox Company 1stSgt where he completed another deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

In September 2007, 1stSgt Edens reported to 8th Communication Battalion, Bravo Company to serve as the Company 1stSgt. In January 2009-February 2010, 1stSgt deployed again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to MNF-W/USF-W. SgtMaj reported to his current command in July 2010.

His personal awards include: The Navy Commendation Medal w/two gold stars in lieu of third award, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
