Maj Williams
Major Williams was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in May 1994, having completed his undergraduate education in History at the University of Pittsburgh.

Following Basic School and the Engineer Officer Basic Course, he was assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group in June 1995. During this tour, Major Williams served as an engineer platoon commander, participating in various exercises and a unit deployment to the Caribbean for Engineer Related Construction, and served as the Executive Officer for Engineer Support Company.

In May 1998, Major Williams was transferred to Headquarters 4th Marine Corps District, New Cumberland, PA, where he served as the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps Project Officer. Upon completion of his tour in June 2001, Major Williams was transferred to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion, 2d MarDiv.

At 2d CEB, Major Williams served at the Battalion S-4, Company Commander Company "B" and Company Commander of Engineer Support Company. During this tour he deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he augmented the Engineer staff of 1st MarDiv.

Following this tour, in June 2004, Major Williams was transferred to Ground Training Branch, Training and Education Command. During this tour he served at the Engineer Task Analyst/Action Officer as well as the Ground Supply, Financial Management, and TMO Task Analyst/Action Officer. At the completion of this tour, Major Williams was transferred to Combat Assault Battalion, 3d Marine Division where he is currently assigned.

Major Williams' personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (3d award), and the Navy Achievement Medal (2nd award).

Major Williams is married to the former Patricia Stacey Ludwig of Louisville, KY. They live aboard Camp McTureos, Okinawa and have two children: Kaitlyn 11, and Allison 6.
