11 Area Soccer Field Temporary Closure
In preparation for the All Marine Soccer Trial Camp, 4-22 September 2012; and the All Armed Forces Soccer Championship, 23-30 September 2012; MCCS will rehab the soccer field. This will require closure of the 11 Area Soccer Field beginning in June 2012.

Notice of Availability to Review the Action Memorandum and Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis for Addressing Contamination at Installation Restoration Site 1116 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton
Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton invites the public to comment on the Action Memorandum and Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis for Installation Restoration (IR) Site 1116, which includes three former underground storage tank (UST) sites 1491, 14112 and 140008. The Action Memorandum and Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis for Site 1116 identify the preferred alternatives for addressing contaminated soil and groundwater at this site and provide the reasoning for these preferences. The Action Memorandum and Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis are part of the IR Program, a Department of Defense program for investigating, characterizing, and cleaning up soil and groundwater contamination resulting from past years of operation at military bases.

Fallbrook Gate Construction
-Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook (NWSF) started their gate improvement project and approximately will end on 13 July 2012.
-Construction is timed to accommodate peak rush hour time frames.
-There will only be one (1) lane inbound and one (1) lane outbound. This will promote some congestion and, on occasion, delays.
-Please plan accordingly.

Traffic control will be in place along the following road locations to allow communication upgrades work between May and September 2012:
• Stuart Mesa Rd. near and in 31 Area Camp
• Various roads within 24/22 Area Camp(s)
• San Mateo Rd. in 62 Area Camp
• Basilone Rd. in 51, 52 & 53 Area Camp(s)
• Stagecoach Rd. near 33 Area Camp
• Old El Camino Real
• 19th Street, Area 14
• A Avenue through D Avenue, Area 22
• 2nd Street through 6th Street, Area 22
Free Camp Pendleton Emergency Notifications
Sign up now for Emergency Notification Alerts provided free of charge by Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. These alerts will notify you if there is an emergency aboard the base and will provide guidance as to the actions you should take.
Recent experience with this system has proven that it can save lives by providing communication directly to you in a timely manner during an emergency.
