Marines and Sailors of the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (Anti-Terrorism) (CBIRF, 4thMEB(AT)), will host a robotics seminar/demonstration here Aug. 15, 2002 in an effort to familiarize robotics engineers with the units' tactical rescue capabilities and requirements. CBIRF warriors will demonstrate, in a series of rescue exercises, actions Marines and Sailors would take during a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, consequence-management scenario. Guest scientists and experts will take note on how robotics technology may aide the unit in accomplishing their mission. Media members must make reservations for attendance before 9 a.m., Wednesday.
