The Marine Corps Motion Picture & TV Liaison Office, also known as Los Angeles Public Affairs, Headquarters, US Marine Corps, has worked with a wealth of clients since its establishment in 1917.
Motion picture studios, television and cable networks and other forms of entertainment media have relied upon our services to help their productions obtain authenticity and realism.
The key to getting official support from the Marine Corps is to contact us early in the development or concept phase of a feature film, television program, music video or video game. We can help you develop the story and help you create believable characters that speak realistic dialogue. Whatever the stage in the creative process, we have done it before and we can help.
All discussions of proprietary information are confidential.
This office, in coordination with the Department of Defense, decides if the Marine Corps will become involved with your project. At a minimum, we will always provide answers to any question on a courtesy basis.
Other services such as research visits and script review can be obtained before full support is granted. For full support, you must provide the actual shooting script as well as film dates, locations and logistical requirements.
Department of Defense Instructions governing assistance require accurate depictions of the Marine Corps and that productions are in the overall interest of the DoD or the nation.
If your project will increase the public's awareness of the capabilities, history or mission of the Marine Corps, we are ready to help!
