COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY SECTION 

The Communications Security (COMSEC) Section services the Communications Security Material requirements for all HQMC Staff Agencies/Commands and Activities throughout the National Capital Region. This section manages the Electronic Key Management System for all Cryptologic products and services.  The Electronic Key Management System provides the capability for automated generation, accounting, distribution, destruction, and management of COMSEC Material.

The HQMC Electronic Key Management Systems (EKMS) Manager is your sole source for all Communications Security (COMSEC) material and equipment. The EKMS 1 (series) Manual and the HQMC COMSEC SOP provide minimum policy and procedures for the proper ordering, filling, generation, distribution, accountability, storage,
usage, destruction, and management of COMSEC material and equipment.
